Different heating systems

There are a variety of ways you can do your heating system. For examplethe ones you have illustrated are all feasible. You can control them all indifferent ways. For exaple with radiators upstairs, you can use underfloorheating controls to control each room seperately. This means you couldhave a time/temperature programmable room stat controlling each bedroomseperately. With regards to underfloor heating downstairs, you can use normal nonprogrammale stats or programmable stats. You can have a stat controllingup to 4 actuators (up to 70-80m2) or have one in each room. I wouldrecommend the latter. If you have a combined system (underfloor downstairs, rads upstairs, i would recommend using a systemzone and minlex tocompletely control the zones for you. I can explain these to youWith regards to the solar system. It is imperative to have a perfectlysouth facing roof. If not, you can place them on a flat roof , on theground or on a gable end wall (brackets are different). But i cant stressenough , to maximise hot water production, i go out to sites to see thatthey are perfectly south facing by using a compass. We use only the evactuated tubes. They are more expensive than flat platesbut are much more efficient for hot water production.Flat plates find itdifficult to heat water from sept-apr in this country.Once I get your drawings, I come back to you straight awayThanksJack Foley www.heating-solutions-ireland.com
